Clube de Regatas do FlamengoMore news about the new sponsorship

Sorry guys. I miscalculated. It is a R$ 105 million (US$ 52,5 million) on a five-year contract.

On pre-sale (one week period), Flamengo already sold 204.840 shirts. Incredible, considering that Nike used to sell around 120.000 jerseys a year.

Here is a image comparing the old shirt and the new one. Besides that, you can also compare fat and slim Adriano.

BIG CUP DAY

Oboyoboyoboy!!! It's Big Cup Day in Brazil — the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final — and for the second year in a row, Corinthians are there. And for the second year in a row, we're traveling to the second leg with a two-goal lead. Our opponents: Internacional. All signs point to a classic match between the two strongest sides in Brazil.
And we've got a few things going for us over last year's disaster, when we fell to Sport on away goals...

New sponsorship and new kits

I remember writing somthing about Olympikus here, but I didn’t find it. Here is the deal. Last year, Flamengo had some problems with Nike and signed a contract with Olympikus. I may be wrong but the values were around R$ 200 million on a fiver year contract.

What happened?

The same friend and a new post.
I mean, what is happening?
Flamengo was playing very good, then we lost "Copa do Brasil" quarter-finals in the last minute to Internacional.
It seems that everything fell apart from that moment on. First, defeated by Sport in a 4x2 dramatic match. Then, a shameful game. 5x0 for Coritiba.
As some LOVE to say, Crisis at Flamengo!

Que torcida é essa?

What can I say about the supporters? They have been great since the State Championship. We have always been known as a team of two groups of supporters: “Raça Rubro Negra” and “Torcida Jovem do Flamengo”. But now, a new group is getting bigger. They are called Urubuzada and they are doing a great job.

You ...

Adriano, L'Imperatore di Rio de Janeiro

Adriano is officially back. He debuted last Sunday against Atlético-PR and what an amazing way to restart his career. He scored one goal, forced the other team to score an own goal and was the best player. Incredible!

Right and wrong

Some say Flamengo is not working to improve, that the board is a complete mess and they are not trying to make the best decisions to the team. I disagree. True must be said, so here I am to do it.
It’s known that Flamengo is on the hands of the same people for decades, just like almost every other team. We now have a R$ 300 million debt, something around US$ 150 million. I am proud to say we are the greatest in something else than supporters.

One more "striker"

ObinaObina has arrived at Academy of Football. He'll stay in São Paulo for 1 year on loan. Former CR Flamengo's striker was presented by Palmeiras' president Luiz Gonzaga Belluzzo that rarely go in a presentation of a new player.
