Corinthians: The First Defeat in Second Division We Never Forget
By: Bruno Romani | July 22nd, 2008This is old news, but I forgot to mention. Everything was great for Corinthians before it lost the final of Copa do Brasil to Sport. It had won every single game in second division, having 100% of the points played. After the loss, the club still won 3 matches and tied another 3, getting 57% of the points. Last saturday, however, Corinthians faced its first defeat in second division. It was in the match against Bahia, another traditional club of Brazilian football. The match took place in Sao Paulo and Elias from a free-kick scored the only goal of the match. Despite all this, Corinthians still is the leader of serie B and will not have problems to reach serie A again. This Tuesday, the club takes on Ceara away from Sao Paulo.

Liking the blog, mate!
Just how good do you think Lulinha and Dentinho are? Good enough to deserve the hype?

Lulinha is overated for sure. Dentinho has potential, but playing for corinthians is too much pressure, so sometimes I think he is not able to develop his game.
