Midweek round review
By: Bruno Romani | August 23rd, 2008I should start getting paid for making this blog so updated (hey you, you wanna hire me?). In case you were wondering, here is a brief comment about the midweek round of Campeonato Brasileiro (which has been called by some “experts of The Offside as a “not real league”).
Grêmio, Cruzeiro and Palmeiras lost:
Flamengo 2 -1 Grêmio – one of the worst matches of the leaders in a long time.
Botafogo 1 – 0 Cruzeiro – the ref saw a penalty for the locals. Only him.
Inter 4 -1 Palmeiras – The trio Nilmar, Alex and D’Alessandro finally worked, and humiliation came upon Palmeiras.
Atlético-MG 1 – 1 Goiás and Vitória 0- 0 Sport were two draws in which the 4 lost. One is losing breath in fight for the top 4. The other 3 are breathless with the possibility of relegation behind their backs.
Coritiba 3 - 0 Figueirense and Sao Paulo 3 – 1 Atlético-PR did the minimum expected for those fighting for a spot in the Libertadores. They won at home against not powerful sides.
Naútico 1 – 3 Fluminense showed the club from Rio focused on escaping relegation, and showed the locals putting a lot of effort into visiting the second division.
Portuguesa 0 – 1 Vasco. In the derby of the Portuguese community, the Portuguese from Rio escaped for now the relegation zone by sending the Portuguese from São Paulo to the bottom.
The bottom which, by the way, belongs to Ipatinga and Santos. Both are so committed to the position that they decided to share their miseries in 1 goal.

GRÊMIO playing one of worst matches in a long time (ROMANI, Bruno) only suffered the defeat goal 2 minutes before the game end. Imagine if we played a little bit better…
We are still leaders, against all brazilian media and some american (gringo???)
GO GRÊMIO!!!

that is exactly the point. don’t be offended by everything we say. you make Gremio fans look more annoying than they actually are.
