Clubs and their Sponsors – Part 2

Here is the second part of the series designed to explain the sponsors of the clubs in the second division. Interesting to see how local production affects the kind of sponsorship clubs get. Ipatinga gets steel, Criciúma coal, Brasilia a bank that smells like corruption… 

CRB: 

The main is Alto Astral, a brand of cheap soft drinks sold in the states of Alagoas and Sergipe. Among their products are the hits ”Alto Astral- Cola” and “Alto-Astral Laranja”. In the back they have Crystal Nordeste, a brand of bottled water sold in some states of the Brazilian Northeast. Above the club’s symbol and kit manufacturer is Credix, a company that manages credit cards in the state ofAlagoas,  a land whose fame for corrupt politicians is huge.

Criciúma:

City known for its coal mines, the team from the city of Criciúma could not be sponsored by anybody else other than Carvão Mineiral. Actually, the sponsorship comes from the Union of the Coal Industry of Santa Catarina (Sindicato da Industria Extrativa de Carvao de Santa Catarina). In the back, they have Alianda, a store of floors. The sleeves carry the logo of Criciúma Construções, a real state agency.

 Fortaleza:

Fortaleza has only Santana, textil do Brasil,  a fabric factory.

Gama:

Gama also has BRB, a bank in Brasilia and a few others that I could not find out and will never do. The club is very shaddy.

Ipatinga:

Ipatinga, a city known for the production of steel, has Sistema Usiminas. The company is based in the city of Ipatinga and is a big name in the production of steel.
