Grêmio Almost Took the Plane that Crashed in S. Paulo

By: Bruno Romani | July 19th, 2007

The plane crash  in São Paulo killed Paulo Amoretty, ex-president of Inter and Corinthians’ lawyer in the Nilmar case. But the involvement of football in this foreseen accident could have been worse for football.

Grêmio considered taking the flight 3054 to play the match against Goiás this Thursday, but chose flying to Brasília instead. All the staff and players could’ve been among the 200 people who died in São Paulo on Tuesday. Grêmio is the immortal.

Didn’t Ronaldinho’s brother (and agent) also almost take that flight? I think I read that somewhere.

Yes, I also read about Ronaldinho’s brother. I guess you’re only supposed to go when your time’s up.

I have taken a flight at Congonhas recently. Luckily I was departing and not landing. Everyone already knew that the Airport was and is very dangerous.
Unfortunatelly people have to die for the proper authorities to do something about it.
Money-hungry bastards are the culprits (as always).
