I Didn’t Watch

By: Bruno Romani | July 3rd, 2007

-I didn’t watch Brazil doing everything to get kicked out in the group stage of the U-20 WC.

-I didn’t watch Pato scoring twice in the 3-2 victory against S. Korea.

-I didn’t watch the 9th round of the brasileiro.

-I didn’t watch São Paulo move to the second spot after beating Inter by 1-0 with a goal by Rogério Ceni.

-I didn’t watch América-RN lose another match. This time against Palmeiras. 2-0.

-I didn’t watch the leader Botafogo come up with a good 1-1 draw against Goiás at the Serra Dourada.

-I didn’t watch Grêmio beat Juventude in Porto Alegre by 3-1.

-I didn’t watch Roni scoring for Cruzeiro again, despite the 2-1 victory of Figueirense.

- I didn’t watch Naútico surprise Atlético-PR in the 1-1 draw in Curitiba.

-I didnt’t watch Fluminense and Parana tied 0-0. Probably one of the worst matches in the season.

All the goals from this Tuesday. Don’t tell me you didn’t watch them.

    Shame, Bruno, shame.
In all fairness, I didn’t watch the USA-Poland game when I could have, and it ended 6-1. So you’re not alone.

Saw a bit of the Internacional-SaoPaulo match. SaoPaulo’s guys seemed to be trying for “cuteness” and impressing the fans with, oh, such dexterity — only to have the ball stolen away…? Maybe Internacional is coming back. Periodically looked impressive…..

I saw Roni’s goal. Despite the loss, I think this is the best Cruzeiro side since 2003.

I watched the Brazil versus USA U20 match. The USA team played well - Fred Adu played great soccer.
Brazil´s problems: - the young players know that there are European agents watching they play, so one is always trying to outshine the other. That is a not a real team , just a bunch of show-offs.
And there are great young players who are not in the squad who I think would do much better than these guys : Danilinho and Tchô from Atlético, Guilherme from Cruzeiro among many others.
Brazil´s coach : is that a coach? Why make it easier on the US squad when the match was already hard as it was? Taking Renato Augusto out of the team was a joke. And putting Carlos Eduardo playing on the right flank when in his club he plays left seemed like Nelson Rodrigues was asking for it. The Americans couldn´t do nothing but grant his wish.
