By: Bruno Romani | August 21st, 2007
An olympic goal is a rare event in a match. What about two?
In Brazil, this unique moment took place in the match between Paulista and Ituano for the Sao Paulo’s state Cup Federation. Luis Henrique, midfielder from Paulista, scored twice from a corner-kick in the 5-5 draw between the two clubs.

Luis Henrique said, “The wind was helpful and I shot the two balls on goal.” The two clubs play the Brazilian second-division, so the sides in the match were B teams. The Copa Federacao Paulista is a tournament that takes place in the second semester to keep the activities of the teams in lower divisions of Sao Paulo state going on. Interesting —- BUT, on the new Copa matches (different subject), is SaoPaulo still playing its Second Team, the substitutes??? Or will that change as things progress?

Can’t help but wonder — if they’re not going to go to WIN, why play? Sure, it’s nice to get the subs some work, but perhaps they could do a Copa Substitute….?
Thanks, Bruno.Posted from
