Ball Causes Odd Injury in Brazilian Ref

With just 10 minutes into the match for second division of Campeonato Brasileiro between Marilia and Ponte Preta, a midfielder of Ponte failed to control the ball, accidently sending towards referee Eduardo César Coronado. The man in yellow tried to get away from the ball with a bizarre jump. And ended with one of the most bizarre injuries in the history of the sport. He twisted his ankle. Right away, Coronado blew his whistle. The doctors from Marilia gave him a hand, and he stayed in the match until the second-half started. That’s when he gave up and was replaced by Paulo Roberto Ferreira.

The match ended with a 3-1 victory of Marilia.
