Defender Kisses Ref. and Gets Yellow Carded

Botafogo advanced to the finals of the Campeonato Carioca with a 3-1 victory over Cabofriense. It took only 25 minutes to score the goals that granted Botafogo the spot in the decision against Flamengo.

The main highlight of the night, however, happened between Cabofriense’s defender Cléberson and the referee Ubiraci Damásio. In the beginning of the second-half, Cléberson committed a foul and before he got to stand up started complaining. Damásio came closer to him, and as if trying to avoid the eventual yellow card, Cléberson kissed the referee.

That was it. Damásio showed the yellow card and was caught in camera laughing and saying “you can’t kiss me. You can’t kiss me.” Too much love for a referee to handle.
