Ref. Red Cards Player with a Red Panty

                                                           Red Card: I want it!

Everything was ready for a big party in Anamã, town 450 km away from Manaus. The city organized a football match between a team of the best players around and a team of public employees to celebrate its emancipation.

What promised to be another match played at low level ended with the referee as the main highlight of the night, when at 38th mark into the second-half he found himself ready to red card the defender Paulo Coice. Instead of pulling a red CARD, Carlos José Figueira got from his pocket a red PANTY.

The defender questioned the referee about the panty, thinking that the object was some kind of joke he wasn’t aware of. The referee, however, was so embarrassed about it that he got the panty back into his pocket and put an end to the game, with a nail-draw in the score board.

Later that night, Figueira, who is father of four, got red carded by his wife, who dumped his belongings on the sidewalk. The referee claims that the panty was a gift to his 16 year-old daughter. Right!
