When Mascots Go Wild!

       Corinthians’ Mascot

For some time, the Paulista Federation of Football has unsuccessfully used mascots of ambiguous appearance to entertain fans in the stadium during half-time. In other words, the federation put in the hands of men fueled by alcohol dressed as stupid costumed characters the task of making the half-time less painful. Usually, a penalty shoot-out takes place. It is horrible, but finally this show of stupidity has paid back. In the half-time of Sao Paulo and Corinthians, the mascots of the two clubs took part in the shoot-outs. At some point, Corinthians’ mascot denied Sao Paulo’s the penalty. He celebrated. A lot! He got so wild that he ran to the corner flag, kicked it and broke it! Fans went crazy!

notice how fans really go crazy only when the mascot breaks the flag! I told you this is the time of the year with more oddities…

Oh, and my favorite part? When Sao Paulo’s mascot couldn’t move fast enough to stop his penalty. He just stood there watching.
