Brazil 3 - 0 Singapore
By: Bruno Romani | July 28th, 2008I didn’t bother to wake up. But, the Brazilian press says that the team played well the first-half. I liked most of the line-up. And our midfield has lots of potential. The line-up was: Renan, Rafinha, Alex Silva, Thiago Silva and Marcelo; Hernanes, Lucas, Anderson and Diego; Ronaldinho and Pato. Goals by Diego, Ronaldinho and Jo (who came in the second-half).

Hello Bruno, here is how one of the newspapers here react to the match - http://www.todayonline.com/pdf_open.asp?id=2907SPC029
The match wasn’t shown live on the TV here (but we get reports during the news bulletins and they were reporting how it was like in the first-half) actually but there will be a repeat of it later today.
All in all, the appearance of the boys from Brazil has really got the media here all in a frenzy. Sort of.
And I read that Dunga had imposed strict discipline on the players when they were here and the only places they been to are the stadium for training and the hotel.Posted from

Noted. I will be rooting for you guys…other than waiting to see whether our Olympic contingent can break our own medal drought in Beijing.
It has been 48 years we ever won a medal, and there has been real belief it may happen this time in China given we came so close four years ago in Athens.Oh yeah, one more thing. From what I remembered in the news bulletins as well, 30,000-something people came to watch the match. Considering the stadium capacity is 55,000…it’s not bad. And I wasn’t there actually. I wish!
But I had been to the stadium more than once before. Always great atmosphere, especially if our national team is playing there (it’s the standard place where our national team play their international matches there…just like the Wembley for the England squad) and I was there like earlier last year to see our boys beat our biggest rivals (and next-door neighbour) Malaysia on penalties in a regional football tournament (it was the quarter-final stage).Actually the stadium was supposed to be tear down earlier this year to make way for a sports hub (it has already been planned like since last year and the stadium capacity according to reports at that time, it will be slightly smaller) but then when news came in that the boys from Brazil are coming, one more match to be played at our national stadium.
What I was referring to - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Stadium%2C_Singapore
There has been controversy of sorts when ever since last year or something, officials telling the public that it will be the last international match our boys will be playing at the stadium then unexpectedly, we made it to the third round of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers (didn’t advance from there but, it’s already a milestone in the local football scene given it’s the first time this happens) and the qualifiers being played there. Then news that Dinho and gang are coming.
