Two Belgian players sent off:
- Kompany's 1st yellow: foul committed by Vermaelen, go figure...
- Kompany's 2nd yellow: arguable, but this is only his second foul, his first actually. The red card is way over the top.
- Fellaini's 1st yellow: ok
- Fellaini's 2nd yellow: what the hell was that for??? Sad behaviour of the Brazilian player (Rafinha?)

Kompany's red was quit decisive. Belgian defence was shaken for a few minutes, resulting in a goal.

If Brazil can keep up with this kind of referees, the gold medal is booked solid. I hope Mr. Al Ghamdi from Saoudi Arabia gets parking fines like he booked cards in this game... for the rest of his life.

Good luck to Brazil however. I'm sure they'll grow in this tournament.

Dunga! Please go and watch Argentina vs Ivory Coast match. Please watch how solid is their game, their skills and pace. Please realise that with Brazil current standard you have no hope at all on gold medal. Brazilian players are too soft, slow, no understanding and whatsoever.

Totally agreed with you, Bruno. Yesterday team was the same team during last world cup qualifying round, only with different young faces. The team totally disorganised and not idea at all in attack. Diego was hard working but his game just didn't and never work for Brazil. He can't hold still of the ball even a simple push from Belgium defender. I don't see any great potential from Anderson, Pato, Hernanes or Lucas. They just average players even the Belgium players outshone them. I miss Cafu and Roberto Carlos on wing back. Where was Ronaldinho!? The once greatest player of the world!? Did he help the team!? After the first goal, the team was wasting time. Come on! We are Brazil, we can score one more goal from counter attack easily with just 9 belgium players left. So disappointed with Dunga and team. If that's the way Dunga wants to win the gold medal. I would be so SHAME ON BRAZIL.

"I just wish Anderson realized for a few minutes he is not even close to be the great player he thinks he is."

Thank you for that! Now go tell Man Utd fans that, they think he's the next Ronaldo/Romario/Roberto Carlos all rolled into one. Anderson's got to be one of the most insufferable young players I've ever seen.

I watched the game online and agree with your summary. The only positives I took away from the game were Ronaldinho Gaucho and Hernanes. And yes, I suppose it's a prerequisite for us to win ugly in the first game. I just worry that Dunga will make the rest of the tournament ugly for us too.
