Goalkeeper scores, makes a mistake and gets injured. All in one match.
By: Bruno Romani | November 5th, 2007Ironically as it may sound, every weekedend a goalkeeper is the character of the Campeonato Brasileiro. In a land of Pele’s and Ronaldinho’s, keepers are on the media for their stupidity. This Sunday the man wasn’t even Brazilian.
Argentinean Saja who plays for Gremio ran the field when Gremio had a penalty to its favor in the match against Figueirense. He took it and scored. Historical! This was the first time a goalkeeper of Gremio scored in a official. Probably the first time an Argentinean keeper ever scored in Brazilian football.
The second-half came and Saja made an incredible mistake, allowing Figueirense to tie the match. The match ended with Figueirense’s victory, 2-1. The result was terrible for Gremio in the race for a spot in the Copa Libertadores. Not satisfied, Saja also got injured by the end of the game and will be out for 3 months.

Yeah, right… Saja did it on purpose.
For Christ sake, this was just a case of bad luck, that’s all.
Next year we’ll win the Cup with Saja in the goal, you’ll see…
GO GRÊMIO!!!
