Romário’s son takes only 35 Secs to score the first of his career
By: Bruno Romani | June 10th, 2007
After the controversial 1000th goal, the name Romário is far from being silenced. Romárinho, the 13 years-old son of the legendary striker, needed only 35 seconds to score his first goal in an official competition for Vasco. Ironically, the match was against Flamengo.
The kid plays for the U-15 futsal team of Vasco, and like his dad wears the number eleven. He started the match on the bench and went to action with 5 minutes to the end of the first-half. 35 seconds later, the first touch on the ball. The first goal. In the second-half, he scored again and the match ended with a 6-0 victory of Vasco.
Game ended and the new Romário makes clear: these two goals won’t count for an eventual 1000th goal.

In the meantime, the old Romário keeps scoring. This Saturday, he scored twice against Grêmio for round number 5 of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
