It is not Palmeiras of coach Vanderley Luxemburgo. Despite the excellent 1-0 victory against Marília, goal by the new acquisition Elder Granja, the green team has 7 points.
After losing against São Caetano, Corinthians showed tactical improvement against Paulista. With two golacos , Corinthians won the match. But they’re not the leaders yet.
São Paulo had the chance of becoming the leader. But after a bad performance of Adriano and his teammates, the tricolor just tied in 1 goal against Ituano.
Portuguesa and São Caetano both started the season well. Last night, Portuguesa beat São caetano, but that wasn’t enough to make them leaders.
The leader of the Paulista league is Ponte Preta. The only club with 3 victories in 3 matches. Last night the victim was Mirassol, 3-2. Ponte usually starts well tournaments but by the middle of it, its performance goes down. Let’s see if they can change that this season.
