Another Decent Week for Brazil in the Copa Libertadores

By: Bruno Romani | March 20th, 2008

A decent week for Brazil in the Copa Libertadores.

-Cruzeiro visited Caracas and got a 1 draw. Pretty good, given the evolution of Venezuelan football.

-In Rio, Flamengo returned last week’s defeat to Nacional. 2-0, two goals by Marcinho.

-Fluminense visited Libertad and won 2-1 with two goals by Washington “Braveheart.”

-São Paulo visited Luqueno in Paraguay and tied in 1 goal.

-The only Brazilian defeat happened in Bolivia in the match between San José and Santos. The locals came back to win 2-1. On the one hand, it is a shame. On the other, it’s not easy at all to play and very high altitudes.

I recommend you guys to visit the Copa Libertadores blog Copa Libertadores blog at The Offside. Mauro will help me to tell you more stories involving Brazilian clubs in the best club tournament in the world. (What? Champions league is the best? Don’t make me laugh.)
