

Another Weekend of the Big Clubs and Mediocre Refs

The weekend of football in Brazil was again reserved for the big clubs poor referring. In São Paulo, all big clubs but São Paulo won.
-Palmeiras got an impressive 5-2 comeback against Bragantino. The highlight of this game was the red card goalie Marcos got after being hit by the rival’s forward.
Corinthians beat leader Guaratinguetá 2-0 and now it is the only bug club in the top 4. The highlight of the night was Jose Henrique de Carvalho who showed two yellows to Guaratinguetá midfielder Magal, but forgot to send him off.
Santos beat Noroeste 3-2 with a penalty that did not exist.
São Paulo was run over by Portuguesa on Saturday. 2-0.
The championship in Rio has given us the same for another weekend:
Vasco 2-0 Duque de Caxias, Fluminense 5 – 2 Friburguense, Flamengo 3 – 1 Americano and Botafogo 3 -0 Volta Redonda
In Minas Gerais, the big derby was expected to be the match of the weekend in Brazil. But Cruzeiro and Atlético managed to construct a boring 0-0.
In Rio Grande do Sul, Grêmio beat Novo Hamburgo 1-0 and Inter beat Brasil from Pelotas 2-0.
