Brasileiro All-Stars Crush the Olympic National Squad Headed by Dunga

By: Bruno Romani | December 9th, 2007

The olympic national squad, or the U-23, played this Sunday the match that officially closed the Brazilian season. The youngsters faced the Brasileiro all-stars, team made of some of the best players of the Brazilian league and coached by Joel Santana and Caio Jr.

If the two coaches had all the great Brazilian players of 2007, Dunga could call only one player who is overseas: Alexandre Pato. He also called players from serie B. But what could be seen in the pitch has no excuse. The Brasileiro all-stars crushed the national squad with a 3-0 and a bunch of chances missed. Acosta, Ibson and Leandro Amaral scored for the Brasileirao squad.

The only players who got some attention with the yellow jersey were Internacional goal-keeper Renan, defensive midfielder Charles and Sao Paulo defender Breno (whom you heard first here!). Besides that, Dunga and the players distributed cheap excuses about the heat and the short time available for training. Dunga was lucky that Rogerio Ceni and Kleber from Santos did not play. One more Olympic Games that Brazil won’t win.

Remembering that this is NOT the team that will play the Olympic Games next year in Beijing.

If you didn’t notice Dunga called this time only the players in Brazil+”The Duck” (that doesn’t play at all).

Dunga knows that if he wants a team to win he will have to call Lucas, Andershow, Carlos Eduardo…

    GO GRÊMIO!!!
