The First Major Fiasco of the Year

The first major fiasco of the year has a name: Atlético-PR.

The club from Parana, whose campaign in the state league has not a single loss, got eliminated from Copa do Brasil at home by the poor Corinthians from Alagoas Alagoas (not to be confused with the real Corinthians from Sao Paulo). In the first leg, both clubs tied 1-1, the same final score of last night’s match. In the penalty shoot-outs, the small club won 4-3. Shame!

  Both Corinthians Paulista and Corinthians Alagoano are real. The word here should be ‘original’, but as you once said when you mistakenly changed the name from my team’s coach “Nobody cares”.
